“I’m From” (Creative Writing Class)

I’m from bright summer days spent in darkness.

I’m from the adrenaline of the whoosh of a club and the crack of a tiny white ball.

I’m from crisp fall evenings spent in the painted mountains.

Most of all, I come from warm friendly evenings spent with the ones I love.

  1. This is wonderful. I love the contrasts int he first line. I feel like that hooked me in and forced me to read the rest of the poem. It was just so interesting to think back on days when I’ve done the same thing. Keep it up!

  2. Thomas! Oh my I love this! I love all of the imagery. The first line is my favorite because the way you described it is perfect. You didn’t come right out and say what you’re talking about, but I knew exactly what you were talking about which I thought was cool. I love this!!
